Acer palmatum 'Koto-no-ito' is a compact Japanese Maple with delicate slender-lobed leaves. The leaves unfurl from red stalks and have up to 7 exceptionally long lobes creating a delightful wispy texture. The leaves are bright green in summer before turning vibrant shades of yellow and orange in autumn.

A slow-growing Japanese Maple, 'Koto-no-ito' has a rounded, bushy habit, eventually reaching a height and spread of up to 3 metres. It thrives in moist but well-drained soils and prefers a position with full sun to partial shade.
