Alnus incana 'Laciniata' Tree

Alnus incana 'Laciniata' is a beautiful, graceful tree with finely cut foliage that is grey-green in colour, turning yellow in autumn. The catkins and cones are popular with wildlife and the almost oriental form of this cut-leaved Alder tree makes it a great choice for ornamental gardens.

Well suited to wet sites, Alnus incana Laciniata is a popular choice for difficult positions as it is also tolerant of most soil types and exposed positions. Laciniata is a medium sized, conical Alder tree that is slightly more compact  than our native Common Alder and grows to approximately  6 x 4 meters in 20 years.
