Acer palmatum 'Beni Maiko' Tree

One of our most popular Japanese Maples, 'Beni Maiko' translates to "red haired dancing girl". Acer palmatum 'Beni Maiko' displays shocking pink/bright red, deeply lobed foliage in the spring which turns pinkish-red followed by green in the summer and then bursts into vibrant orange and fiery red autumn colours.

This Japanese Maple will grow to 3 x 3 metres in 20 years in an attractive compact form. 'Beni Maiko' prefers moist, well-drained soil and is best positioned in slight shade although it is tolerant of full sun. Planted as a specimen or with other plants, 'Beni Maiko' makes a fantastic small garden tree with particularly good interest in the Spring and Autumn.
