Wisteria brachybotrys 'Golden Dragon' is an eye-catching variety with yellow-green foliage and racemes of purple flowers. In May to June, the long racemes of purple pea-like flowers hang elegant down whilst emitting a lovely fragrance.

Flowering at its finest when planted in a sunny position, Wisteria 'Golden Dragon' looks splendid growing up a wall or over a pergola. It can easily be kept small or allowed to grow to 8 x 5 metres in 20 years. Dappled shade will also be tolerated and it prefers moist-but well drained soils.
